New Features for Added Control

We've been busy behind the scenes, and we're rolling out some new features that we hope you'll find useful.
For All Users
Previously, all profiles were public, and profile information was automatically displayed next to public polls, or if the voter followed the "View Comments" link. If you would rather keep your profile hidden, there is a new Keep my profile private option on your profile page.
The ability to comment on a poll is a great feature and is enabled by default, but there may be times where you don't want this for specific polls. So, we've added the Allow Comments checkbox to the poll designer to give you an extra level of control.
For Silver & Gold Members
We've added the ability to freeze or "close" polls for voting -- a much requested feature. When you close a poll, your visitors will only be able to see results and will be unable to vote. A message will be displayed at the bottom of the poll indicated that voting is closed (adjust your Language Sets to change the text of this message.)
To close a poll, click the "stop" button next to the status on your My Polls Page. If you later change your mind, you can re-open the poll by pressing the "play" button (see below.)

We ask you to please bear with us while we complete the transition of Poll Authority from it's previous owners.
Unfortunately, PayPal doesn't allow us to transfer subscriptions between accounts. So, the only way to it is to cancel the original subscriptions and have all of our customers re-submit their payment information.
If you are a Gold or Silver member, you should have received an email with directions on how to update your payment info. If you haven't, it's pretty simple. Just login and click the "show details" link next to the big "Important Account Notice" message on your Account page, then click the "Setup Payment" button.
Don't worry, you have plenty of time to do it (at least until 4/1, but varies by account.) If you forget, your account will simply revert back to the Bronze (free) level. All of your polls will still be there along with your data. You'll just have to go through the (easy) upgrade process if you want your Silver/Gold features back.

Several small tweaks

A quick (and over-due) update from the staff at Poll Authority.
As many of you probably have noticed, several small fixes have been made throughout the website. The most visible of the fixes went to the comments checkbox on the poll designer. In addition, our development staff has made several small tweaks and performance boosts over the last couple of months.
In the next few months we plan on adding some new and exciting features to the best polling solution available on the web. Stay tuned!
