General Terms and Conditions of Use of the Website
Any browsing or use of this website constitutes acceptance of the terms and conditions of these General Terms and Conditions.

This website is for the sole use of visitors to the Poll Authority website (http://www.pollauthority.com) for non-commercial purposes. You may not modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, or sell any information, software, products, graphics or services obtained from this web site.

You represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age and possess the legal authority, ability and right to enter into this Agreement and to use this website in accordance with all terms and conditions stipulated herein. You agree to be financially responsible for all use of this website (as well as for use of your account by others, including without limitation minors living with you). You agree to supervise all usage by minors of this website under your name. You acknowledge that your use of the website does not create or result in any joint venture, partnership, or agency relationship between you and Poll Authority, and you agree not to hold yourself out as a representative, agent, or employee of Poll Authority.

You warrant that all information provided by you, by anyone within your organization, or by any member of your household is true and accurate.

Poll Authority reserves the right to change or modify the terms and conditions of this Agreement. You are responsible for regularly reviewing these terms and conditions. Continued use following any change constitutes your acceptance of such changes.

Agreement
Bronze account members are required to link back to the Poll Authority website via a link that appears in the footer of polls created through the Poll Authority website. The code that displays the link SHALL NOT BE MODIFIED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! Modification of said code shall result in permanent banning from Poll Authority.

Silver and Gold members who wish to participate in the Poll Authority program agree to pay a recurring monthly fee as stated on the signup form. All payments are conducted through PayPal (http://www.paypal.com) and you are responsible for ensuring your PayPal account has enough funds to meet the monthly billing cycle. If you do not have enough funds to cover the monthly fee, Poll Authority will suspend your account until payment has been re-established. If payments continue to be delinquent, Poll Authority shall cancel your membership and revert your Silver or Gold account to a Bronze account. Note that Poll Authority payments will be payable to Springthrough, Poll Authority's parent company.

Poll Authority is NOT a linking scheme and does not employ black hat marketing. We provide marketing efforts through a network of professional and relevant polls that may or may not contain back links to third party websites, including Poll Authority and Springthrough partner websites. We reserve the right to modify poll question content at any given time, without prior notification.

Poll Authority reserves the right to include advertising in the form of a singular text link in the footer of all Polls created under the Bronze membership account ONLY. These advertisements will override the link-back to Poll Authority, ensuring only one link is contained in the poll. All revenue or royalties generated from such advertisements are owned by Springthrough, the Poll Authority parent company.

Website Content
Although the goal of Poll Authority is to offer professional polling services to all willing participants, we must uphold the integrity of our service. The following websites cannot be included for listing within Poll Authority:

  • Websites must not promote products of an illegal nature, such as descrambler devices
  • Websites must not contain illegal warez or mp3 files
  • Websites must not consist primarily of links without any relevant content
  • Websites must not be considered a bad neighborhood
  • Websites must not employ black hat marketing and SEO techniques
Failure to abide by these guidelines will result in the permanent banning of your website and exclusion of all future participation with Poll Authority.

We reserve the right to cancel the poll, without prior notification, at any based on our own discretion or if:
  • Excessive number of votes are being placed against the poll from the same IP address
  • Fraudulent votes are being placed against the poll
  • Bandwidth consumed by the poll becomes unnecessarily high
The owners and creators of Poll Authority may, in their sole and absolute discretion, and with or without notice, suspend or terminate your access to the software, or terminate this Agreement and thus your rights to use the software, for any conduct or use (whether by you or anyone else using your version of the software) that the owners and creators of Poll Authority believe is a violation of this Agreement or for any other conduct or use that the owners and creators of Poll Authority believes is harmful to other users or to the website or the interests of the owners and creators of Poll Authority.
